Bytemobile said China Mobile Communications (CMCC) has selected its Web Fidelity Suite content adaptation solution on the Unison Mobile internet platform to power Phase 1 of the latter's nationwide Web Gateway project.
Initial deployment will take place at CMCC's national Web Gateway center in Nanjing.
This will enable the delivery of open internet browsing on all mobile handheld devices over CMCC's new 3G TD-SCDMA network.
Bytemobile's solution has been successfully deployed at China Mobile Jiangsu, one of CMCC's provincial operating companies, and the rest of the group's 31 operating companies are expected to deploy 3G Web Gateway services over the course of the project.
