A Juniper Networks executive relates the tale of how his BlackBerry survived a bout with 'the coffin', the affectionate nickname for Cathay Pacific's unique, next-generation business class seats.
His Blackberry unknowingly slipped down the side of the seat during a flight and, after untold up and down adjustments, the coffin did it's best to digest the phone. The executive retrieved his BB and, although 'spectacularly scarred' on both front and back and with a dented battery, found it still worked perfectly, except for a couple of sticky keys. He compliments RIM on building a handset that outlasted The Coffin.
