Walt Disney Internet Group announced Tuesday it will launch Disney-branded mobile content in Indonesia through an agreement with mobile service provider Elasitas.

Mobile phone users in Indonesia will be able to access a wide variety of personalization and entertainment content based on classic Disney characters, recent animated movies such as "Cars", and live action Disney feature blockbusters such as "Pirates of the Caribbean".

Content will include wallpapers, screensavers, MMS greeting cards, phone themes, calendars, ringtones, voicetones, ringback tones, 2D casual games, video shorts and mobisodes.

The content is expected to be available to all Indonesian mobile phone subscribers by the end of 2006.

"Indonesia is one of our key markets in southeast Asia, and our agreement with Elasitas allows us to expand our mobile distribution relationships there," said Duncan Orrell-Jones, senior VP and MD of Walt Disney Internet Group, Asia Pacific.

With the Elasitas deal, Disney now distributes mobile content in 14 Asia-Pacific markets.
