We have tailored it with the online reader in mind, so it is meant to be a quick and easy update of industry news, along with some challenging editorial insight from well known telecoms/enterprise guest writer Robert Clark. Along the way we will share some of BT's thoughts on the evolution of the networked IT business environment in Asia Pacific and the challenges that we and our customers face.
In Asia Pacific, BT Global Services is a leading player in the networked services space. Traditionally we have served the critical but non-core communication needs of large multi-national companies operating globally, in the region and also for regional companies expanding globally.
With our recently announced acquisition of Frontline Technologies, we are demonstrating and moving towards our vision to be the leading networked IT solutions provider across Asia Pacific. This tie-up will bring to BT major new contracts in Asia and BT is in a position to offer Frontline customers the full suite of BT services. It also creates additional opportunities to develop more advanced outsourcing and broader networked IT and IT services capabilities in the region - a real benefit for our customers.
We look forward to sharing more news on Frontline over the coming months. We want to share with our customers, and you our readers, how Frontline fits into BT's plans to create an industry leading offer in the Asia Pacific in the markets in which we operate.
