Globe Telecom's cloud service aims to help SMBs

Small and medium businesses (SMBs) seeking to cut costs can do so by eliminating paperwork, according to Globe Telecom.

In partnership with Canvas, a developer of mobile apps for business, Globe Telecom's IT-Enabled Services Group IG has launched a cloud-based software service that empowers business users to collect, share and integrate information using mobile devices with existing backend business systems.

Canvas eliminates paperwork, captures more information and allows collected data to be shared instantly, anytime, anywhere. As a result of this new partnership, enterprise and SMB customers can unlock the potential of their smartphones and tablets by shifting key business processes from paper forms to dynamic mobile apps with functionalities.

Every Canvas app is customizable and can incorporate functionality such as GPS, image capture, dispatch, barcode scanning, electronic signatures, push notifications and access to business data such as parts catalogs, price lists and patient records.

Canvas’ mobile business app solutions run on Android, iOS or Windows platforms on any smartphone, tablet or laptop.

With Globe Telecom being the first and exclusive partner of Canvas in the Philippines, its business customers will be able to leverage on Canvas’s cloud-based service and mobile business app store, which currently has more than 14,000 business apps ranging from inspection forms and work orders to surveys and checklists.
