The Suunto X10, the latest version of Suunto's sports watch, features GPS technology from Finnish firm Fastrax.
The X10 replaces the X9i model, Suunto's previous flagship model.
In addition to GPS technology to track route, distance, and speed, the X10 is equipped with an altimeter, barometer, digital compass, and thermometer.
GPS functionality in the Suunto X10 is based on Fastrax's GPS antenna technology developed specifically for small devices and applications.
The technology enables receiving satellite signals in difficult conditions, such as heavy foliage, in short time with a high position accuracy, according to Fastrax.
