The planned HAVFRUE cable system now has a landing station lined up on the eastern coast of the USA. NJFX said this morning that the new transatlantic cable system will come ashore at NJFX's Tier 3 by the Subsea campus in Wall Township, New Jersey.

HAVFRUE will connect New Jersey with Denmark, with branches to both Ireland and Norway. The consortium behind the cable includes Aqua Comms, Bulk Infrastructure, Google, and Facebook.

The system was formally announced back in January, and Subcom will be doing the heavy lifting.

HAVFRUE will join Tata's transatlantic cables, Seaborn Networks' Seabras-1, and the newly built NJ-NY cable WALL-LI in landing at NJFX.

NJFX wager was that putting colo on the Jersey Shore next to the landing stations would create a nexus for subsea cable operators and its customers, and they are definitely finding some success with it.
