Hong Kong Television Network (HKTV) subscribers can now watch their favourite programmes on TV screens with a new video-on-demand (VOD) service for set-top boxes.
Also, the HKTV app for existing TV set-top box users would be upgraded automatically. This new app is applicable to 90% of the TV set-top boxes available in market, including Xiaomi and HiMedia, enhancing the convenience for viewers.
According to HKTV, there are about 600,000 app downloads on TV set-top boxes. The company expects its VOD service on set-top boxes to attract more viewers to watch its programmes on TV screens.
