Citra Sari Makmur (CSM) is looking to deploy Indonesia's first commercial Wimax network, beginning with the capital city of Jakarta.

CSM will use access and policy management solutions from Aptilo Networks for its Wimax rollout.

The rollout will start with the capital city of Jakarta, along with Bogor, Depok, Tanggerang, Bandung and Surabaya.

CSM, a satellite and terrestrial broadband network service provider, anticipates one million subscribers by the year 2012.

"This project will grow to encompass all of Indonesia, providing the entire region with Wimax access," said Agus Buntaran, CSM general manager for business and network development.

Indonesia has a total population of around 234 million. As of December last year, about 194,000 have broadband connections.
