Alcatel Lucent has appointed John Dickson as its new head of operations, replacing Michel Rahier, who is pursuing other interests outside Alcatel-Lucent.
Based in Paris, Dickson will oversee the procurement, hardware and software supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and real estate activities of the company.
He will also be a member of the management committee and will report to CEO Ben Verwaayen.
Dickson will resume his new role on May 10.
Most recently Dickson was president and CEO at Agere Systems. Prior to Agere Systems he served as EVP and CEO of Lucent Technologies’ Microelectronics and Communications Technologies Group.
