Nagra is providing 4K Ultra HD content protection to Korean satellite broadcaster KT Skylife.

The Nagra anyCAST Security Services Platform combined with Nagra’s hardware security certification process, secures the operator’s first 4K Ultra HD satellite offer through the 4K-ready and studio-endorsed anyCAST GUARD security client.

KT Skylife’s 4K Ultra HD service is said to be the first in the world to provide 24/7 satellite broadcast of three or more 4K Ultra HD channels to consumers.

“KT Skylife’s vision of bringing 4K Ultra HD to consumers is now a reality and paving the way for Ultra HD TV in Asia,” said Jean-Luc Jezouin, SVP of sales in Asia Pacific at Nagra. “Our anyCAST solution was designed to meet the demands of a new generation of viewers who demand premium content delivered over any network to any device.”
