Laird Technologies is adding machine-to-machine (M2M) capability in its products following is acquisition of EZURiO.
EZURiO is a supplier of Bluetooth and WiFi embedded RF modules that allow OEMs to incorporate wireless data communications solutions into their products.
The company also offers short-range M2M solutions for wireless applications used in retail, automotive, healthcare, and also electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Terms of the deal, however, were not disclosed, EZURiO reported around $8 million in revenues for 2007.
