MDU fiber-optic cabling solution

16 Jun 2009

Prysmian\'s VertiCasa comprises a main riser cable that can be branched directly to individual subscribers on different floors of a multi dwelling unit sans the need for splicing of fiber within the riser of the building.

Fibers are extracted from breakout windows in the main cable using a method that allows the required length of protected \'easy strip\' fiber to be routed directly from the main body of the cable through to the end user.
The fiber can ultimately be spliced to a drop cable for final customer connection.
