Motorola's SON brings down LTE Cost

Motorola has launched a long-term evolution (LTE) advanced self-organizing network (SON) solution designed to help operators reduce operational expenses of the deployment of their LTE network.

Motorola\'s advanced SON is a 3GPP Release 8 standards-compliant solution that includes advanced features, improved architecture and leading algorithms that "go beyond specifications in the standards."

Included in the recently released WBR 500 base station infrastructure, the solution deploys quickly withouth the need for specialized technician expertise.

The solution automatically discovers its neighbors, reconfigures around network failures, and optimizes its radio parameters.
