More than 40 companies have committed to join the Telecommunications Expense Management Association (TEMA), a new national trade organization led by Madison CEO Nancy Peckham.

The group will work with telcos to improve billing and services processes, and educate the business market on the value of telecom expense management (TEM) services.

TEM companies help clients control and reduce telecom costs. Other benefits offered include a recovery of telecom-based federal excise taxes. A recent IRS ruling ended the tax and allowed companies to claim refunds of certain fees paid for the past 41 months.
