Pacnet has announced the availability of Pacnet’s Virtual Private Server (VPS), its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution, in Thailand.

Hosted in Bangkok, Pacnet VPS leverages Pacnet’s Internet Services, and delivers high-performance and high-resiliency virtual servers that function just like physical servers.

Built from industry-leading virtualization software, servers, storage equipment and platforms, the service allows customers the flexibility to choose from four configurations -- Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large -- to match their compute and storage requirements. Customers also have a choice of either Microsoft Windows Server Standard or Red Hat Enterprise Linux as the operating system of the virtual server.

“We have seen a growing number of organizations in Thailand, especially in key industries such as manufacturing, recognizing the need for an IaaS solution such as Pacnet VPS, so as to enable them to quickly add the capability to host applications and data, that will deliver added value to their businesses,” said Paisan Kaweyanun, country manager, of Pacnet Thailand.

Optional features include additional virtual CPU, storage or software, which may also be included as part of the service package. The service is also offered on a monthly fee over flexible 12, 24 or 36-month terms.

Pacnet VPS is also available in Australia, with availability in other key locations to be announced at a later date.
