RIM unveils Java SDK for BlackBerry 6

Research In Motion has unveiled a new Java software development kit to support the highly anticipated BlackBerry 6 operating system.

BlackBerry Java SDK v6.0 takes advantage of new user interface features and offers deeper integration with BlackBerry smartphones.

The SDK also provides access to new and enhanced services and support for rendering and porting content to the new WebKit-based browser.

BlackBerry developers can now access more than 40 new application programming interfaces that allow them to build visually rich and deeply integrated applications for BlackBerry 6.
