SK Telecom has deployed Juniper Network's virtualization security solution for private and public clouds.

To deliver broad cloud security across its physical and virtual network environments, SK Telecom deployed Juniper Networks vGW Virtual Gateway with Juniper Networks SRX Series Services Gateways, a report said.

These gateways automate cloud-based data center protection and support dynamic service delivery. Juniper Networks' vGW Virtual Gateway, which runs directly on the VMware ESX hypervisor, provides visibility into virtual machine traffic and provides proper isolation of customer virtual machines in multi-tenant environments.

In November, SK Telecom launched T cloud biz, a corporate cloud computing service targeted at small and medium businesses.

Since launching South Korea's first 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) service in July 2011, SK Telecom also introduced T Cloud, a B2C cloud service portfolio optimized for the 4G LTE network. The cloud service portfolio comprises mass data storage/transmission, multi-screen synchronization and cloud-based social networking at speeds matching that of the fixed-line broadband in September 2011.
