Telstra Global has been selected by online advertising firm Turn to provide its low latency connectivity backbone as part of Turn’s expansion into Asia.

Telstra will support Turn’s “big data” cloud marketing platform with highly secure, reliable and scalable connectivity into Asia, the company said.

Turn, which helps advertisers target digital ads by determining likely demographic attributes and synchronizes billions of data records throughout its global network in real-time, will use Telstra’s network and hosting services to support the rapid delivery of the 950,000 advertising impressions its system analyses each second.

Turn chose Telstra Global to provide low latency, high performance and highly available connectivity to support its new operations in Asia, having recently finalized its European network infrastructures in Amsterdam and London.
