Telstra launches world's fastest network

Telstra announced during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that it would upgrade its Next G network to HSPA+, giving its network peak data transmission rates of up to 21mbps.

This next-generation mobile broadband experience was on display at the exhibition, which was a collaborative effort between Telstra, Qualcomm, Ericsson and Sierra Wireless. Qualcomm supported by providing its MDM8200 chipset solution to Ericsson\'s demo HSPA+ network equipment, while Sierra Wireless supplied various wireless broadband modems and modules.
