Ubitus announced its partnership with Broadcom to extend its GameCloud platform support to Broadcom's set-top box (STB) product family.

The GameCloud technology can seamlessly stream HD quality gaming with minimum bandwidth requirements, transforming a TV into a game console. The dynamic user interface (UI) allows users to play games with wired or wireless game controllers, smartphones or tablets. With additional control devices, it can also support multiplayer games.

Ubitus selected Broadcom for its advanced STB functionality including a high performance CPU for accelerated game control performance and fast response times, low latency decode architecture and innovative network offload engines that reduce game play latency and jitter and an advanced audio system to maintain A/V sync even under adverse network conditions.
