Redline Communications and Patapsco Communications have finished interoperability tests between their respective Wimax solutions.

UK's Patapsco said its IP systems for data applications have passed interoperability tests as part of the Redline Ecosystem Verification program.

The said program verifies connectivity and performance of Wimax products from Redline with those from other vendors, including makers of Wimax chipset and peripherals.

Patapsco's solution set allows operators to map traditional TDM-based services over a managed IP network.

Combined solutions from the two companies allow operators to extend traditional service offerings via Wimax, particularly in underserved areas, said Patapsco.
