Wavecom's Q52 Omni Wireless microprocessor combines cellular, satellite and GPS technology.

The Q52 Omni embeds control of all three technologies on a single processor. The device is built around an ARM9 processor and includes the Open AT Software Suite for developers.

The Q52 Omni supports Wavecom's Intelligent Device Service, a Web-based service platform for upgrading and monitoring networked machines.

The company said it has already begun sampling the device with key customers, and will begin commercial shipments in the second half of this year.
