Samsung's Nabee solution provides connectivity for digital still cameras using Alereon's AL5000 wireless USB chipset.
Nabee, demonstrated at Photokina in Cologne, Germany, transfers photos wirelessly from Samsung cameras to PCs.
It uses as miniature dongle into the camera USB connector, and its matching dongle into the PC and it connects just like a standard USB cable.
NaBee will be available by December, according to Samsung,
Alereon AL5000 chipsets, meanwhile, transmits and receives WiMedia band groups one through six, which span frequencies of 3.1 to 10.6 GHz respectively.
