XO Communications said it has earned MEF 9 and MEF 14 certifications for its XO Ethernet services, including XO Point-to-Point Ethernet, XO Ethernet Hub Service, and XO Ethernet VPLS.
The first conforms to MEF Ethernet Private Line, the second conforms to MEF Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) and the third conforms to MEF Ethernet LAN Service (ELAN).
MEF 9 certification requires that a service delivered to the customer meet MEF-designated technical specifications while MEF 14 certification tests to ensure that a service meets minimum traffic performance objectives.
