Chinese online video giant YoukuTudou has won a RMB18 million ($2.9 million) piracy suit against Acfun, a well-known Chinese video linking site.
According to the terms of the suit, Acfun is required to pay RMB15 million ($2.4 million) of the settlement in cash.
Acfun was one of a number of “Bullet Curtain Websites” that have become quite popular over the last years. The sites commonly host or link to pirated videos that display user commentaries on the same screen.
