The Australian Grand Prix will be third race of the 2022 Formula 1 season. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) won in Bahrain, but Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) overtook him three laps from the end of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and got his first victory of the season.

This is the first race in Melbourne since 2019. The Grand Prix was cancelled in 2020 and 2021, due to COVID-19.
