The Tbilisi-born mixed martial artist has been out of action since a January 2022 loss to Calvin Kattar in their headliner. The Georgian pulled out of a September 2022 fight against Sodiq Yusuf due to injury. Chikadze's defeat to Kattar was his first loss in the UFC following a September 2019 debut. Rated as the 2020 Under the Radar Fighter of the Year by an MMA website, "Ninja" has quietly climbed the Featherweight rankings. Now number nine in the rankings, the 34-year-old former Kickboxer competed in Glory for many years. Chikadze won three Performances of the Night and a Fight of the Night bonus award in his last four fights in the UFC.
