Fighting out of France, the 29-year-old Medhi Dakaev is a former Eagle FC Lightweight champ. He returned to ACA after finishing Makkasharip Zaynukov in the second round of their fight in late 2021. The win marked his seventh straight victory and also put to rest the debate that the Russian was only good at securing decisions. Mehdi Dakaev followed that finish up with a fist-to-the-body finish of Evertom Freitas last June at ACA 159. Dakaev has his sights set on making it to the US promotions, but he must first deal with the Brazilian challenge.
