The last pairs of the first round of the National Basketball Association (NBA) playoffs were determined overnight from April 19th to 20th.
Four matchups were determined by the results of the regular season, but the last four participants in the round were decided in play-in tournament matches.
Quarterfinals Western Conference:
- Oklahoma City Thunder vs New Orleans Pelicans
- Los Angeles Clippers vs Dallas Mavericks
- Minnesota Timberwolves vs Phoenix Suns
- Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers
Quarterfinals Eastern Conference:
- Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat
- Cleveland Cavaliers vs Orlando Magic
- Milwaukee Bucks vs Indiana Pacers
- New York Knicks vs Philadelphia 76ers
The current NBA champion is the Denver Nuggets, who defeated the Miami Heat in the deciding series of the previous season and won their first Larry O'Brien Trophy in history.
