Davis Changes His Name After Converting To Islam

Regular WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis has changed his name after becoming a Muslim. Now the American boxer's name is Abdul Wahid.

On December 25, former three-weight champion Badou Jack revealed on his social media accounts that Davis had converted to Islam.

Davis last entered the ring as part of a boxing night held in April this year in Las Vegas, USA. Back then, Gervonta was opposed by compatriot Ryan Garcia. In this fight, Davis won by knockout in the seventh round. He has 29 wins (27 by knockout) without a single loss.
