Former World Champion Tete Disqualified For Four Years For Doping

Former world champion in two weight categories from South Africa Zolani Tete has been disqualified for four years by the United Kingdom Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) after a positive doping sample for stanozolol.

The South African Boxing Federation disqualified the boxer back in 2022 and the UKAD handed down its decision last week after the boxer tested positive in February this year.

Tete's most recent bout was against Jason Cunningham in July 2022. In that confrontation, Zolani won by technical knockout in the fourth round. He has 30 wins (23 by knockout) and four losses in professional boxing.
