Former WBO lightweight champion Teófimo López of the United States fought against Spaniard Sandor Martin on the night of December 11 in New York City.
The fight lasted 12 rounds and ended with López winning by unanimous decision of the judges. Thus, he defended his WBO International light welterweight title.
In August of this year, López fought Pedro Campa of Mexico. In this fight, Teófimo won by TKO in the seventh round. He has 18 wins (13 by KO) and one defeat under his belt.
In April of this year, Martin was in the ring against Mexican boxer José Félix. That bout ended in favor of Sandor by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 40 wins (13 by knockout) and three defeats under his belt.
