Mike Tyson: If You Can't do Nothing Else in Life, You Go to Boxing or Become a Criminal

Former absolute world heavyweight champion American Mike Tyson spoke out about boxing, saying he lost interest in the sport over time.

You lose the desire to train, but you don't lose the desire to spend that money. If you didn't properly use your money, you have to continue fighting. Fighting is for people who have nothing else to do in life. If you can't do nothing else in life, you go to boxing or become a criminal, one or the other.

Mike Tyson had an exhibition fight in November 2020 against Roy Jones, Jr. This confrontation lasted the entire distance and ended in a draw. Mike had his last fight in the professional ring in June 2005, losing to Kevin McBride by TKO in the sixth round.

Tyson debuted in March, 1985, when he beat Hector Mercedes by TKO in the first round. He has 50 wins (44 by knockout) and six losses.
