Teofimo Lopez Defeats Jamaine Ortiz To Defend WBO Junior Welterweight Belt

The WBO junior welterweight title fight between American boxers Teofimo Lopez and Jamaine Ortiz took place on February 9 in Las Vegas (USA).

The fight between Lopez and Ortiz went the full distance of 12 rounds, and Teofimo won by unanimous decision of the judges to defend the WBO belt.

Lopez, 26, had his previous fight in June 2023, defeating Britain's Josh Taylor by unanimous decision. He has 20 wins (13 by knockout) and one defeat on his record.

Ortiz, 27, previously stepped into the ring in September 2023, defeating Mexican Antonio Moran by unanimous decision. He has 17 wins (eight by knockout), two losses and one draw.
