Ukrainian Gvozdyk successfully returns to the ring

Former welterweight world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk of Ukraine, who resumed his career after a three-year break, fought Mexican Jose Obando on February 12 in Pomona (USA).

The fight went the full six rounds and Gvozdyk won via unanimous decision.

Gvozdyk, 35, had his previous fight against Artur Beterbiev in October 2019. That meeting ended with the Russian boxer winning via technical knockout in the tenth round. Gvozdyk has 18 wins (14 by knockout) and one loss.
