Usyk To Lose IBF Title On June 1st

Journalist Dan Rafael announced on his social media that on June 1st, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk will lose his IBF title as it will be contested in a bout between Daniel Dubois and Filip Hrgovic.

Recall, on May 19, Usyk became the undisputed world champion, defeating WBC champion Tyson Fury by split decision.

The 37-year-old Usyk held the previous fight in August 2023, defeating Daniel Dubois by knockout in the ninth round. He has 22 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat on his record.

The 35-year-old Fury previously stepped into the ring in October 2023, beating Francis Ngannou by split decision. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and one defeat on his record.
