Verstappen Wins Last Race Of F1 Season In Abu Dhabi

Reigning Formula One champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing closed out the 2023 season with an impressive victory in Abu Dhabi.

The Dutchman won 19 Grand Prix rounds in the completed season, updating his own record. The racer was 17 seconds ahead of Charles Leclair of Ferrari. George Russell, a representative of Mercedes, finished third. Sergio Perez, who initially came in second, finished fourth because of a five-second penalty.

At the end of the season Verstappen scored 575 points, almost two times more than his teammate Sergio Perez (285 points), who came second to the finish line. Lewis Hamilton (234 points) rounded out the top 3 for the season.

Max Verstappen won his third consecutive Formula 1 race. The Dutchman has a total of 54 victories in F1 during his career.
