The leadership of Ajax is interested in reappointing the current manager of English Manchester United Erik ten Hag as the head coach of their team. This information was reported by the Daily Mail.

According to the source, the Manchester United boss is the top candidate for the head coach position at Dutch side Ajax after the team's interim coach John van 't Schip leaves.

It's worth noting that Ten Hag is focused on his work at the English club. The club will decise on his future after the current season.

The Dutch manager previously led Ajax from 2017 to 2022, with the team securing 159 wins, suffering 29 losses, and drawing 27 times in 215 matches under his guidance.

Currently, Ajax holds the fifth position in the Dutch championship table with 49 points.

Earlier, journalist Nizaar Kinsella reported that Erik ten Hag would leave the English club at the end of the current season.
