Former Barcelona defender Jordi Alba and former midfielder Sergio Busquets have signed contracts with American club Inter Miami until 2025.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the deals have already been finalized. The players will move to the American club as free agents. Earlier, ex-Barcelona forward Lionel Messi announced the move to Inter Miami.
Busquets will become a free agent on June 30 after his contract with Barcelona expires. The midfielder played 722 games for the club, scoring 18 goals and providing 45 assists. Transfermarkt estimates the transfer value of the midfielder at €5 million.
Alba will leave Barcelona ahead of schedule. The player's contract with the team is valid until June 30, 2024. Earlier it was reported that the defender will leave the club after the end of 2022/23 season.
The Blaugrana defender participated in 459 meetings, scoring 27 goals and giving 99 assists. Transfermarkt estimates the market value of the player at €5 million.
