On Thursday, January 25, the last matches of the group stage of the AFC Asian Cup were finished and all participants of round of 16 have been determined.
The matches of the first round of the playoffs will be held from January 28 to 30 in Qatar. The reigning winners of the tournament, the national team of Qatar will play with Palestine. Uzbekistan will face Thailand and Tajikistan will face the UAE. Japan, the 2011 champions, will battle Bahrain to advance to the next round, while Australia, who won the Asian Cup in 2014, will play Indonesia.
