Bayer Extends Unbeaten Streak In All Tournaments To 42 Matches

German Bayer is one step away from repeating the record in the XXI century, which currently belongs to Italian Juventus.

In the first match of the quarterfinals of the Europa League against West Ham (2-0), the team of Xabi Alonso played without defeat for the 42nd time in a row in all tournaments. Only Juventus in 2011-2012 had a longer winless streak (43 matches) over the last 24 years.

Bayer will play their next match on April 14 in the 29th round of the Bundesliga against Werder. If they win the game, the Leverkusen club will become the German champion ahead of schedule.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said that Bayer deserved the championship in the Bundesliga.
