Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher has analyzed the confrontation between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo after the players' departure from European championships.
In October, the Inter Miami forward won the Ballon d'Or for the eighth time in his career. The Portuguese was not among the 30 nominees for the award.

It was never a debate. Ronaldo's nowhere near the level of Messi. Ronaldo is one of the greatest goalscorers of all time, Messi is the greatest player of all time, it's not even close. Ronaldo scored goals, Messi scored goals and was an unbelievable player.
Messi recently surpassed Ronaldo in the ranking of the best footballers of the century according to FourFourTwo.
