Erling Haaland Becomes Second Top Scorer In History Of Norway National Team

The Euro-2024 qualification match between Cyprus and Norway took place on Thursday, October 12. The meeting ended with a 4-0 victory for the Norwegians. Forward Erling Haaland scored a double.

After this match, the 23-year-old forward scored 27 goals in 27 matches for the Norwegian national team. Haaland moved into second place on the national team's all-time scoring list, surpassing Einar Gundersen (26). The record holder is Jørgen Juve, who has scored 33 goals.

Erling Haaland has been playing in the EPL for Manchester City since 2022 and his contract runs until the summer of 2027. The club's management is discussing the possibility of extending the contract with the Norwegian striker for another year.

Erling was included in the list of 12 players eligible for the Best Men's Player of 2023 according to the International Football Federation (FIFA).
