Former FIFA President Blatter Criticizes Absurdity Of Holding 2030 World Cup On Three Continents

Former head of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Joseph Blatter criticized the format of the World Cup in 2030. The 24th World Cup in history will be held on three continents and in six countries.

It is absurd to tear the tournament apart in this way. The World Cup finals must be a compact event. It is important for the identity of the event, for the organization and for visitors.

As previously reported, the main hosts of the 2030 World Cup will be Spain, Portugal and Morocco, while Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will host three matches as part of the 100th anniversary of the tournament.

Earlier, Russian coach of the Cameroon national team Valery Nepomnyashchy in a conversation with Championat called the World Cup the tournament of tired favorites.
