Former Kazakh League Star Diakate Tells He Left The League Because Of Decline In Salaries

Former midfielder of several Kazakh clubs Abdoulaye Diakate in an interview with Telecomasia.net disclosed the reason for leaving the Kazakh League.

- Tell us an interesting story from your time playing in Kazakhstan.

- All interesting stories are related to referees. However, the country is very good for playing football. The people are friendly, and football is developing. Unfortunately, referees are killing football in Kazakhstan. In addition to this, the country needs to develop its infrastructure. During my time in Kazakhstan, the country has taken a big step in football development. Look at the national team results, the level of local players has increased. I enjoyed playing in Kazakhstan before, when salaries were higher. In the mid-2010s, there were big salaries in Kazakh football, so it attracted good foreign players. Unfortunately, now salaries are not as high. Because salaries have fallen, I no longer wanted to go to Kazakhstan.

Recall that the Senegalese player performed for Taraz, Ordabasy, Atyrau, Turan, and Caspian.
