Former Manchester United and Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini has announced on social media that he has ended his professional football career.

The midfielder played for Standard, Everton, Manchester United and Shandong Taishan of China.

I have played in front of the best fans in the world, and I want to take this moment to thank all of them for their unwavering support throughout my career.

Fellaini played 87 matches for the Belgian national team, scoring 18 goals and winning a bronze medal at the World Cup 2018. Marouane won the Europa League, the Cup and the Super Cup of England, as well as the English League Cup at the club level.
