FourFourTwo Names AC Milan vs Liverpool Champions League Final As Best Match In Tournament History

The 2004/05 UEFA Champions League final between AC Milan and Liverpool has been named as the best match in the history of the tournament by FourFourTwo.

The match between AC Milan and Liverpool (3:3, 2:3 on penalties) was recognized as the best match. Liverpool were losing 0:3 by halftime, but in the second half the English managed to make the score equal within six minutes. Extra time was without goals, and Liverpool proved to be the stronger team in the penalty shootout.

The second match in the ranking was the victory of Barcelona over PSG (6:1), in the 2016/17 season. The final between Manchester United and Bayern Munich (2:1), in the season-1998/99, closed the top 3 of the rating.

Earlier, FourFourTwo website compiled a rating of the worst transfers in the history of Liverpool. Former AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to the club as a special or external advisor.
