France Launches Investigation Into Neymar's Transfer From Barcelona To PSG

The investigation into the transfer of Brazilian striker Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 has been launched in France. This was reported by the Liberation newspaper.

According to the sources, PSG is suspected of bribing French officials to obtain tax benefits for the registration of Neymar's transfer. The deal cost €222 million. Even six years later, this transfer remains the largest in the history of world football.

Neymar played for PSG from 2017 to 2023 and played 173 matches during this time, scoring 118 goals. In August 2023, he moved to Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia).

Earlier, the forward of Gremio (Brazil) and the national team of Uruguay Luis Suarez called the transfer of Neymar from Barcelona to PSG a mistake. The Parisians said that Neymar had left his mark in the history of the club.
