French Finance Ministry Searched For Irregularities In Neymar's Transfer To PSG

The French Finance Ministry has been searched in connection with the investigation into the transfer of Brazilian forward Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

According to L'Equipe, police officers from the central anti-corruption and tax fraud office came to the ministry on January 15.

Law enforcement authorities are investigating the transfer of Neymar, which may have circumvented the tax laws of France.

Earlier it was reported that the current club of the striker Al-Hilal intends to suspend the contract with the player after a serious injury. Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez called the transfer of Neymar from Barcelona to PSG a mistake.

Neymar moved to the French top club in the summer of 2017 for 222 million euros, which is still the most expensive transfer in world football. The Brazilian won five Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain.
